Jacques Moreau
Jacques was born in 1976 and was raised in Montreal. After graduating high school his family moved to Panama City, Panama where he went to college. During his 3 years there he met Sensei Carlos Perez, a Shotokan Karate teacher with whom he trained and aquired very technical skills. His return to Montreal was accompanied by a long absence training with an instructor as he was unable to find a teacher that met up to the high standards of Sensei Carlos.
In 2008, by happenstance, he passed by a little dojo in his hometown and met what would soon become new friends and mentors Sensei Mat Parisella and Sensei Jocelyn Dubois. They introdused him to "Kyokushin", a form of contact karate. Training resumed in earnst and within a short time Jacques was teaching along side Sensei Mat to students of all ages.
At the end of 2014 the unfortunate news of this dojos closure was revealed. Sensei Jacques was unwilling to accept that the students of this dojo be left without a place to train, pursue their goals and thrive. He decide to open his own dojo in the form of Wasenshi Karate.
His goals always remain the same; to inspire self confidence, self discipline, and a positive attitude while training the mind body and spirit.
SENSEI
Nathalie Grant
Sensei Nathalie has been with us since the very beginning of Wasenshi Karate. She began her martial arts journey as a way to look for something more challenging than a yoga or kickboxing class typically associated with women's fitness. Originally a student of Sensei Mat and Sensei Jocelyn since 2010, she has joined our ranks as an assistant instructor. Her passion, technical skills and ability to communicate with the young students make her a valuable member of our team.

Hazel Ilagan
Senpai Hazel is a junior instructor working towards her black belt. She has the responsibilities of assisting sensei with teaching the basics as well as some of the advanced techniques and katas to the younger students and junior ranks. Proud and eager to help she is a reliable part of our teamand always ready to learn.
